up to date information on ‘patients rights’ and
- education in the field of fertility problems and treatment from a wide range of staff from the medical, pharmaceutical and science professions.
Cradle Meetings are held on a regular basis, normally on the first Thursday of each month at the Nuffield Hospital, 1000 Great Western Rd, Glasgow (Click here for map). Our normal start time is 7:00pm and we usually finish about 9:00pm.
New members and visitors are welcome to attend and to listen to or question our guest speakers as well as to meet up with existing members who are willing to discuss and share experiences. Please contact a Cradle member beforehand to check for last-minute changes.
The next Cradle meeting is on Thursday 2nd July at 7pm at the Nuffield Hospital in Glasgow . At our June meeting we were delighted to have several representatives from the GCRM (Glasgow Centre for Reproductive Medicine):
- Prof. Richard Fleming - Scientific Director
- Paul Mitchell - Laboratory Director
- Jude Fleming - Centre Manager
- Pat Ambrose - Nurse Manager
- Isobel O'Neill - Infertility Counsellor
Richard Fleming gave a general presentation including an overview of the GCRM detailing treatments available, outcomes etc.
Other staff gave a talk on egg sharing (as the GCRM are the only clinic in Scotland doing this at present) - implications/outcomes etc.
We always have additional time for questions.
We would love if you were able to come along to what are always very informative evenings.
Cradle has a growing library of reference material available for issue or on loan to those who may be interested. You can request an item by completing our on-line form (opens in new window), or by contacting us via the details on our contact us page. If you know of a relevant publication that would be of benefit to our members, use our form to suggest it and we will purchase it - making sure you can be first to borrow it.
